Jessica McAllister graduated from Macalester College in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Studies and a minor in Art History. Jessica studied the ways in which art and material culture inform our understanding of the world today. While working for a nonprofit that primarily served the East African community of Minneapolis, she learned about the challenges recent immigrants face upon their arrival to the United States and deepened her passion for helping others. Jessica studied abroad in Granada, Spain in 2023 where she improved her Spanish language skills and learned about the complex history of Islam in Andalusia. Jessica also recently participated in an archaeological dig at Tarsus Gözlükule, a habitual mound in Turkey dating back to the Neolithic period. Jessica is committed to supporting the immigrant community of Minnesota and is excited to learn more about immigration law.
