Dedicated Exclusively to Immigration Law

Special Immigrant Juvenile, U and VAWA

For children (and youth under 21 in some states, including Minnesota) who have abused, abandoned, or neglected. If you are such a person, you may be eligible for a special visa. We can carefully guide you through any one of these humanitarian processes so you can be safe.

Also, if you were a victim of a violent crime, you may be eligible to apply for U nonimmigrant status. This immigration benefit requires that a law enforcement officer certify that you were the victim of a crime. If a law enforcement officer certifies you were a victim, you might then be eligible to apply for U nonimmigrant status.

If you are or were recently married (divorced less than two years ago)to a US Citizen or Permanent Resident who abused you physically, emotionally, or psychologically, but never received your residency, you may qualify for VAWA, a self-petitioning process that could lead to residency (green card) if you can show that you were abused by your spouse and that you entered into the marriage in good faith.
